Little Friends of Printmaking - 'Excerpt from 'Masters of Poster Design' (Rockport)

When I was coming up with a brief for this project I had an idea in my head to create a promotional poster that contained a lot of hand drawn illustration, yet still stood out as a poster. Looking through this book, I found some examples of the style I was thinking of. The example on the right uses only four colours, 2 main and 2 for accents. I think this gives it a simple feel that really makes it stand out - especially the accents, helping the design to jump off the page whilst still looking classy.
