AS Graphic Design Review - Part 1

Which of your AS projects did you enjoy most and why?
I enjoyed  elements of all of my AS projects, but the 'Cosford' project was my favourite. The
3 projects I completed were all very different - branding, book illustration and stamp design - and
I think that the task of re-branding the cafe at 'Cosford' was the brief that provided me with more
room for creativity. I enjoyed the experimentation process of the 'Alphapets' project, using different
media and stencils, and produced a larger variety of work for this section. My 'Bridges' project
was the most illustrative and featured a lot of hand drawn imagery which I enjoyed producing.

Which of your AS projects do you consider was the most successful and why?
I feel that both my 'Cosford' project and my 'Bridges' project were equally successful because I
had fully developed and thought through each outcome. I think 'Alphapets' was less successful as
I didn't entirely consider each idea and develop it fully and therefore the outcome wasn't as refined
as it could have been.

Do you think you have reached your potential at AS?
I think I worked reasonably well at AS, but there is a lot of room for improvement. I need to improve
my organisation and time management to complete work to my full ability, as a lot of my work had to
be compromised due to deadlines. I could have done a lot more work to fill out ideas, experimentation
and development of Unit 2 if I had made sure that work was completed each day, meeting personal
targets.

Which assessment objectives have you been most successful at meeting and why?
Reflect and Record. I annotated my sketchbook in detail to help myself see the direction in which my
project was going. I also think that I included a good amount of development work in my mount boards. I think that I could have thought through the layout and content of my mount boards and final products
more - especially for the 'Cosford' project - and I could have experimented a lot more throughout all
of the projects with different typography instead of sticking to default fonts.
